Orders and shipping
How soon will my order ship?
We pack orders and ship them within one to two business days. The moment your label is created, a tracking number is emailed to you.
How do you ship, and what does it cost?
Everything ships from Rochester, NY via USPS or UPS. Shipping is calculated from your order's actual weight at checkout, so you only pay for what's in the box.
Do you ship outside the United States?
For now we ship within the United States only. If we add international shipping, we'll post it here first.
Will I get tracking?
Yes. Every order ships with tracking, sent to your email as soon as the label prints.
Condition and quality
How do you grade condition?
We grade by visible condition, from Sealed/New through Like New, Very Good, and Good down to Acceptable. We grade the disc and the case separately, since a sharp-looking case can still hold a scratched disc. The full breakdown is on our condition grading reference.
Do you play every disc start to finish?
No, and we'd rather be straight with you about that. We clean every disc to lift fingerprints and smudges, then inspect the playing surface, the case, and the artwork and grade what we can see. Watching every title end to end isn't something a small shop can honestly promise, and that's exactly why every disc carries the play guarantee below.
What if a disc skips or won't play?
Our play guarantee covers you. If a disc doesn't play, email us within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund it, whichever you prefer. If you resurface the disc yourself, the play guarantee is voided.
Are the original case and artwork included?
Yes, unless the listing says otherwise.
Will these discs play on my machine?
Our movies are Region 1 for DVD or Region A for Blu-ray, made for North American players, unless a listing notes otherwise. If you use a region-free or imported player, check that it matches the disc before ordering.
Payment, returns, and security
What's your return policy?
Every disc is backed by our 30-day play guarantee: if it doesn't play, we'll make it right. The full details are on our returns and refunds policy.
How do I pay, and is checkout secure?
Checkout is handled by Square, which processes major credit and debit cards over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your card number.
Do you charge sales tax?
New York sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

Who are you?
High Falls Media is a veteran-owned shop in Rochester, NY, named for the falls on the Genesee River. We sell used physical media to people who still like owning their movies, music, and games.
What formats do you carry?
DVD, Blu-ray, 4K UHD, and VHS are live right now. CDs, vinyl, cassettes, and video games are on the way, and they'll appear in the shop as we bring them online.
Do you buy collections or take trades?
We source our inventory ourselves and aren't buying from the public through the site at the moment. If that changes, you'll see it here first.
